Fencing For Ourimbah Homes And Properties

Ourimbah sits in the valley of Ourimbah Creek, with the Pacific Highway and the Main Northern railway running through the township. The University of Newcastle’s Central Coast campus is here too, so houses, shops, education sites and rural properties all sit within a short drive of each other.

Creeks run through the township. Bangalow Creek and Dog Trap Gully join Ourimbah Creek, and the NSW flood data portal lists flooding across the catchment in 1953, 1974, 1977, 1990, 1992, 2007, 2011 and 2013. A fence on that kind of land has to let water through, not hold it back.

A fence on a flood control lot is not exempt development under the NSW Codes SEPP, and Central Coast Council expects it to let surface water pass. We check where your fence sits before we design it.

We install Colorbond, timber, aluminium slat and tubular, security and rural fencing across Ourimbah, along with pedestrian, driveway and farm gates, including custom steel gates we fabricate ourselves. We also fence Lisarow, Narara, Wyoming and other suburbs across the Central Coast.

Why Choose Our Fencing In Ourimbah?

An Ourimbah quote depends on what is behind the fence and where the water goes. A suburban boundary, a creek-side paddock line and a business yard are three different jobs, so we walk the run and price what is actually there.

We can help with fencing for:

  • Boundary fencing on suburban Ourimbah blocks, in Colorbond, timber or aluminium
  • Fences on or beside creek and drainage land, with open or raised bottom rails where flood rules apply
  • Post and rail, wire and stock fencing on rural properties
  • Security fencing for commercial, industrial and education sites
  • Containing horses, livestock and dogs
  • Wide driveway and farm gates sized to a float, tractor or truck
  • Long runs quoted by section so the work can be staged
  • Driveway and pedestrian gates, including custom steel

Fully licensed and insured, NSW contractor licence 314691C. Australian made materials, including COLORBOND® steel from BlueScope.

Our Ourimbah Fencing Process

Working Out What The Water Does Before We Quote

Ourimbah jobs vary enough that quoting from an address is close to useless. On creek and gully land the fence has to be designed around the water, and on rural land it has to be designed around what it holds in.

The questions worth settling early are whether the lot carries flood controls, what the fence has to keep in or out, and what needs to drive through the gate.

Whether it is a house, a rural block or a business site, you get a fixed price in writing and one point of contact from the first call through to handover.

Clear Fencing From Quote To Installation

  • We talk through what the fence has to contain or keep out, and who uses the site
  • We walk the full run and check fall, drainage, ground conditions, access and gate positions
  • We recommend materials, rail heights and spacings, and give you the options side by side
  • We give you a fixed price in writing, with gates and long runs broken down by section
  • We set out, dig the footings, then install the posts, rails, panels and gates
  • We check the gate swing and latch, and clear the site

Ourimbah Fencing FAQs

Yes. Ourimbah Creek, Bangalow Creek and Dog Trap Gully run through the township, and flooding has been recorded across the catchment many times. Central Coast Council’s development control plan says a fence on a flood control lot must not redirect or interrupt the flow of surface water, and it sets a minimum opening of 100 millimetres under the bottom rail. We check the lot’s status at the quote and design the fence to suit.

Many standard boundary fences do not, but a fence on a flood control lot is not exempt development, and height limits, front-boundary rules and rural or environmental controls can also apply. Central Coast Council is the authority to confirm with before work starts. If it is a dividing fence, the Dividing Fences Act 1991 applies as well.

Yes. We install security fencing for commercial, industrial and education sites, including gates sized for vehicle access. Tell us what needs securing and whether trucks or trades need to get through, and we will quote it on site.

Yes. We install rural fencing including post and rail and wire, and we fabricate custom steel farm gates. What the fence has to hold in changes the build, so tell us whether it is horses, stock or just a boundary line. Post and rail suits horses, and wire suits longer runs at a lower cost per metre.

Open designs such as aluminium tubular fencing let water pass more easily than a solid panel, and powder-coated aluminium and steel do not rot when they get wet. Colorbond fencing suits dry side boundaries away from the creek. We confirm the right mix on site.

Cost depends on the material, the height, the length of the run, the number of gates and how hard the ground is to dig. Because those vary block to block, we quote on site for free rather than guessing.

We fence Ourimbah, Lisarow, Narara, Wyoming, Tumbi Umbi, Chittaway Bay, Wyong and the surrounding Central Coast. Full coverage is listed on our Where We Serve page.
